“Music In Glee” Reviews

I haven’t been this impressed with an episode of Glee since the Pilot. Everything about it was pitch perfect – from a different take on Glee‘s “shower scene” (did anyone else see those abs on Dean Geyer??) to the choice in music, to the way Mr. Ryan Murphy seamlessly integrated the New York scenes with [...]

Catch up on your Glee! You can read my “Music in Glee” mini review of “We Found Love” for episode 10 of season 3, “Yes/No” here. Usually my favorite song from a Glee episode is to be expected – a really big number, or a popular song choice I’ve been dying to hear from a [...]

Catch up on your Glee! You can read my “Music in Glee” mini review of “Summer Nights” for episode 10 of season 3, “Yes/No” here. Not a big Rihanna fan, but “We Found Love” is one of my favorites of hers – and it’s one of my favorites that Glee covers as well. But something [...]

Catch up on your Glee! You can read my “Music in Glee” review for episode 8 of season 3, “Hold On to Sixteen” here. Opening the episode with “Summer Nights”? Genius. Was the main reason I’d been looking forward to “Yes/No” musically, and everything about this Grease number exceeded my expectations.

My favorite Sectionals performance of New Directions was back in season 1, and this season’s Sectionals song choices weren’t exactly my favorite either (although their Jackson tribute was pretty fun). While I’m not quite sure if it fit into the whole scope of episode 5, “The First Time”, the Warblers performing “Uptown Girl” was a huge Gleeky highlight for me. I even had the song on repeat hours before watching the episode.

Catch up on your Glee! You can read my “Music in Glee” mini review for episode 4 of season 3, “Pot O’ Gold” here. Why is it always the Broadway-infused episodes of Glee that are simply the best? Everything about “The First Time” was as magical as Damian McGinty’s Rory the leprechaun in “Pot O’ [...]

Catch up on your Glee! You can read my “Music in Glee” mini review for “Run The World (Girls)” from episode 3 of season 3, “Asian F” here. Rory’s first day at McKinley might not have been so “grand”, but Damian’s sure was! Irishman Damian McGinty might have needed subtitles on the The Glee Project [...]

Back when it was questionable whether Coldplay’s music catalogue would actually be featured on Glee, I did a series of posts on the blog asking for readers to make their best guesses as to what Coldplay songs they think could be, or what they wish would be, featured on the show. It might come as [...]

Catch up on your Glee! You can read my “Music in Glee” mini review for “Cool” from episode 3 of season 3, “Asian F” here. Never a dull moment on Glee, but watching Heather Morris dance is definitely one of the highlights. This yet-another killer choreographed number is certainly no exception and pulls out all [...]
