Season 2 Episode 4 "Duets"

Behind the Duets in “Duets”

by Tanya on October 18, 2010

The choreography behind Santana and Mercedes’ “River Deep, Mountain High”, Chord Overstreet’s thoughts on “Lucky”…and what was the hardest part for Heather Morris (Brittany) about filming that scene with Artie.
Check some of these behind-the-scenes music moments from last week’s new episode of Glee, “Duets”:

“Adam [Anders] made me sing the high part, and I literally was like, ‘Um…I think you’re mistaken here’. So I tried my best, and um, it was good because I recorded it in a room that doesn’t have a window, so no one could see me kind of like wail.”

Catch up on your Glee! You can read my “Music in Glee” review for episode 3 of season 2, “Grilled Cheesus” here.

“Do you hear me? I’m talking to you / Across the water, across the deep blue ocean”
Mr. Schue: “What’s a duet?”
Brittany: “A blanket.”

And we thought our Asian-and-Other Asian couple couldn’t get any cuter. Watch this sneak peek (with mini interviews!) of tomorrow’s new episode, “Duets” – highlighting Mike and Tina’s duet from A Chorus Line, “Sing” (and the fact that Mike can’t really, well, um…you’ll see):

Finally we get to hear a little more out of Quinn. Okay, so maybe it’s not a solo, but if you ask me a duet with Chord Overstreet’s Sam is just as super-awesome.

Full streaming songs for next week’s new episode, “Duets” are now available! Check out “First Listen Friday” over at Glee The Music here, where you can listen to all five songs in advance. My thoughts below:

Can’t you just feel the love? After “Grilled Cheesus”, it will be on to “Duets” (and one solo), and I’m kind of excited. Because we get to hear Mike Chang sing *grins*.
