Admittedly, I wasn’t that hyped about Glee covering Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ “Empire State of Mind”, just because I’m really not a fan of the song. And even after giving it a listen I’m not that blown away overall – but! I’m always psyched to listen to the Glee cast sing anything, and looking at the song thematically for the series (it’s New York! C’mon), it really does work.
