The Coldplay War: Sarah Picks “We Never Change”

by Tanya on July 23, 2010

If you’re just now joining us, head on over to my first “Coldplay War” post to see how you can get in on the fun.

We have our second Coldplay song nominee from SarahWe Never Change, from the album, Parachutes (though she also agrees that Fix You is a hard one to pass up).

And this time around, it’s an open scenario song choice. Anybody wanna throw any ideas out there for Coldplay’s We Never Change, character or scene-wise? Let’s hear some suggestions in the comments! And thanks to Sarah for participating!

How about not doing Coldplay?
Coldplay songs have sentimental value and commercialising it makes it just another song. Leave Coldplay, stick to what you guys have been doing (i.e. not Coldplay). Fix You was mty favourite Coldplay song, now whenever I hear it I think about Glee instead of why it was my favorite.

@Coldplay Fan And why is thinking of Glee a bad thing? Lol. I actually really like this topic, it’s a good one. Originally that was Coldplay’s sentiment too, before the members of the band ended up changing their minds and allowing Glee its catalogue of songs. Glee doesn’t really commercialize artists or their songs (the artists featured on Glee are already “commercialized”). A lot of music artists consider it an honor, although I can understand why some artists might express concern over it.

I do want to clear up though that this is a fan blog dedicated to the music of Glee – in no way am I, or the blog, affiliated with the official music/soundtracks of Glee. I don’t choose the songs showcased on Glee (Ryan Murphy and his Glee crew do that), I only write about it. :)
